โ€˜Gurls Roomโ€™ feature in an issue of the Australian teen magazine, Dolly (c. between 1999-2001) So much inflatable furniture, even the flowers! (Iโ€™ve seen those in some other interiors from the time, but havenโ€™t found the source). Selections from the book, 'IdN Decade Design Awards .01 .02 - 2002 IdN was (and still is?) an incredible publication resource for design; these are scanned from a book collecting the best works from 2001 & 2002, spanning a number of the design styles we study in CARI PS - I really have an issue with Instagram's failure when it comes to formatting; it should be able to handle images of different sizes in a single post. Tumblr still reigns supreme imo when it comes to showcasing design work, even if its a partially dead platform ๐Ÿ˜ข by @y2kaesthetic

There are 21 Macintosh PowerPC 8600s which allow you to enjoy net surfing, chats, video conferences, network games, cable TV and more. The interior is a cyber cosmic look with comfortable leather chairs. You can order foods and drinks by the Online Drinks/Food ordering System. The charge for every single computer accessing is at the rate of HK$1 per minute. Although the membership system is introduced, you can still enjoy as a walk-in guest." (2004) Per the original poster, LB2341 on Reddit: "If youโ€™re not familiar with what these are, when companies like Warner Bros. choose/assign a merchandising company or brand to work with the consumer products division would send out one of these usually containing character art, colours, patterns, logos, fonts and other designs in order to keep the branding consistent across different pieces of merch. They are all presented as digital files on a CD and then used by Graphic or Packaging Designers to create all kinds of printed merchandise, box artwork/packaging and tags. โ€˜Cinema Futuraโ€™ movie theater - Zhongshan, China (2014) โ€” Designed by Alexander Wong โ€” โ€œะ’ased on futurism and inspired by classic sci-fi movies like Ridley Scottโ€™s Alien and James Cameronโ€™s Avatar, the design attempts to create the first sci-fi cinema in Zhongshan, China. The 36,800-square-foot interior is a complex composition of organic design elements that create original forms. These forms are custom made with fiberglass molds, bold colors, and dynamic lighting to produce a futuristic ambience. At the entrance, one immediately arrives at the Plaza Pandora, a surrealistic biosphere with an organic ceiling supported by double-layered spiraling columns with an outer skin inspired by DNA strands called chromosome columns and the movie Alien. Here, one will also notice the white leaf-like patterns on the floor with matching metallic pendant lights swirling dynamically above. The plaza is encompassed by the sensual forms of the Pandora Box Office and Bar Pandora where moviegoers can buy tickets and popcorn to begin their unique journey into movie fantasy. Our inspiration here is nature itself. Nature is filled with the most complex geometrical shapes imaginable. In terms of this complexity and the sophistication of our universe in its entirety, sci-fi and futurism only reflect a tiny fraction. We are deeply inspired, or quite simply, in awe of nature.
