YIJI ARCHIVE —— the new colletion released from YIJI Collection, centered around collectible vintage furniture and art furniture, and openly embracing art pieces and antiques as well.

YIJI was born from Xie Ke and his team‘s discoveries as they traveled the world. What we discovered goes beyond the everyday beauty that stays with us over time — it also includes classic designs permanently treasured by time itself. YIJI ARCHIVE resonates with the gift of time and craftsmanship, deepening our connection to the new warmth in life.

This project blends local Dali architecture details with contemporary design, trying to find a balance between tradition and the present. This house a beautiful layered flow, with courtyards and terraces weaving in between. Using local materials and working with the surroundings — light, views, nature — these all things create lots of surprises in different spaces.

For the interior styling, especially the furniture matching, it’s all about nature, warmth, and memory. We brought in handmade ceramics, paper, and textiles from Dali — full of that artisanal, human touch — and placed them into everyday spaces and use. They speak to vintage furniture that carries the patina of time. All we want is that the feeling of home and belonging that‘s as natural as breathing — always there, all the time.

From Chongqing to Dali，Xie Ke’s home in Sanya carries forward the thread of southwestern memories, extending it into anew expression: the Chinese-style vacation. The Sanya home continues to explore and experiment with the concept of ”local identity.“

”LocalGrowth“ is a design philosophy that Xie Ke has always upheld. In the Sanya home, spatial design and material selection respond to the local climate, maximizing the openness of layout and function, blurring the boundary betweenindoors and outdoors, and inviting the natural elements—breeze and views—towander in and out as they please. In terms of home furnishings, the selections respond to the relaxed ease of a vacation, and all the things still are what Xie Ke likes.

Every piece of furniture, artwork, and lighting in Qing Shan 49 was personally chosen by Xie Ke for his guesthouse. He amassed this collection slowly, over many years of travel to a vast assortment of places. Here in Dali, mid-century European lighting and contemporary Chinese works share a home, next to Erhai lake, under the Cangshan Mountains.

Raw, Refined, and Timeless
Seeking lightness within the density of Brutalism
From Chapo’s logic of wood to Chale’s alchemy of metal, these pieces reject the ephemeral in favor of the essential. A return to the ”Primal State of Modernity,“ where every texture tells a story of craftsmanship and time.
