Coming soon to a Congress Street near you: Ope! A Stationery Shop

We’ll be a neighborhood spot for letter writing, scrapbooking, and journaling.

Ope is for folks who appreciate perfectly imperfect handmade gifts, who find value in taking the time to do something by hand. Folks who collect stickers everywhere they travel and document their lives in a scrapbook. If you rely on good ol’ pen and paper, keep a backstock of greeting cards for any occasion, and are pen-pals with your long-distance friends – Ope is for you!

Along with the stationery we’ll carry, we’ll have two big work tables. We’ll be filling our calendar with workshops and classes, and filling our shop with the laughter and joy of people sharing crafts together.

four years of kansas day parties in the books 🌻

it’s a very scary time outside the walls of our little apartment. a brief reprieve to fill our home with some laughter, a metric ton of cream cheese, and the warmth of community means so, so much to me. i can always use the reminder — that there is light in the world, that it’s in people

eight years of Ferd means eight years of rabbit foot, of plops and scritches, of screaming for treats and getting them, and eight years of Jeep Rockin’ on our legs (iykyk)

eight years of Ferd means eight years of receiving gentle, healing cuddles exactly when we need it most and eight years of making friends with everyone who steps over our threshold

in eight years, this little man has moved cross-country, survived being hit by a car and being blasted with radiation, and can still crack his treat puzzle without breakin’ a sweat

VINYL NIGHT IS T-MINUS ONE WEEK AWAY

We’re switching up our schedule a bit, which means this is the last Orange Bike Vinyl Night of the year! Don’t miss it or I’ll be sad.

It’s BYOV - Bring Your Own Vinyl! Dig through your crates at home and bring us something fun to play. We love hits, deep cuts, bizarre and wonderful music of all sorts.

This month we’re back partnering with the illustrious folks at @wmpgfm. A portion of the night’s beer sales will go to the station, and you can donate to them directly from the event. Our Vinyl Night sets aspire to play music as cool and diverse as WMPG puts on the air 🤘

i’ve been playing a lot of D&D lately, smashing things i shouldn’t and making enemies of the local wildlife. usual stuff

my friend and illustrious dungeon master @kingdoopminis paints minis and builds sets for our campaign. the quality of his work is so absolutely absurd, i wanted to see if i could stage photos to capture some of the life in these minifigures

this is my first attempt at doing something like this and i am very stoked with how they’ve turned out. a little rough around the edges, and i like that about them by @zarcasticness
