You may remember last year when on a whim I printed my poems onto seed paper and sold them as cards for mother's Day, designed to be planted and turned into beautiful flowers 🌻

I did not expect a single sale and was so shocked to be sold out, but even more shocked at how much I loved creating a physical product with my hands and sharing it.

I learned a lot, and decided this year to do it properly - and so, on my feet, wearing a newborn baby in the baby carrier till the early hours of the morning, I built an online store: zoevanzanten.com.au (link is in the bio 🙏🏼)

So you can now shop my new and improved seed paper cards online just in time for mother's Day. Here's what else is new:

- pick from different types of seed paper (different flowers)
- cards now come with a sustainably sourced card envelope
- cards are posted in rigid mailers
- you can also shop instant digital downloads of poems to print yourself in a variety of sizes
- personalised poems are available (due to popular demand)
- and I have gift vouchers!

My life used to be a blur of photoshoots, runways, airports, events, prepping all night, and posting carefully curated content on social media about how wonderful it all was.

And it was amazing to have lived out my stylist dream in my 20s.

But behind everything you saw on here was a total victim of hustle culture, completely burnt out, living every day in fight or flight mode and blissfully unaware of the damage I was doing to my mental and physical health.

When I met @bencollyeah, he helped me to understand that I was a person beyond just my career, and in 2020 we spontaneously moved to Denmark WA where we were gifted with opportunities to really find ourselves.

The friendships we made, the lessons we learned and the way we lived so connected to nature completely changed us forever.

This move gave us a totally new foundation for living, rooted deep in growing our own food, eating whole foods and realising our needs as natural beings - all of these ideals were further magnified by my becoming a mother.

I never intended on growing an audience when I started sharing my life on social media as a stylist, and since moving away have struggled to find authenticity in posting here.

But now I finally feel ready to share with you me, as my most authentic self, on a path of healing, nourishing and living slowly.

I whispered to the universe that I would love to garden all day, and I think she heard me 🌱

Over the past few months I've been stepping fully into life as a gardener, working on farms and gardens throughout the great Southern as well as on our own @forestfarmdenmark

Being outdoors amongst nature all day is magic, and I'm so grateful to be able to do this work interwoven with motherhood.

I've carried my babies on my back picking avocados, done my admin with them asleep in the carrier, and fed them between planting flowers.

I hope my little ones remember how much we love having them always with us, I feel so lucky to be able to share this life with them 🤍

Decorating Cleo’s room has been so much fun, and for the longest time I tried to find the perfect sign for her door.

After deciding I probably couldn’t make bubble letters myself, and not wanting anything ceramic and breakable, I found @themilestonemarket.co and have had the best experience 🤍

From the interactive design platform on their website which allows you to play with colours, to how lightweight and easy to display they are (no drilling required) I can’t recommend them enough.

In the true essence of Djilba, the seeds we've been quietly planting are starting to burst into life 🌼

Gardens are never instant, nature will not be rushed 🌱

I guess that’s part of what makes them so special in a world of instant gratification and fast living, gardens force you to slow down and reconnect with the cycles of nature again.

Our veggie garden at Forest Farm has taken two years of hard work, love and learning to get to where it is today, and it’s never going to really be finished.

It’s a place of constant tending, experiments, life, death and rebirth 🤍

The one certainty we have in the garden (besides weeds) is that time will pass whether you’re ready to start your garden or not, so you may as well start and figure it out as you go like we do 😅

There's the felt flowers on my daughter's first handbag.
The ones my partner left for me in my car.
The pink ones my son picked me that he thinks are beautiful and he doesn't know are weeds.
The buttery yellow nasturtiums that I never want to forget.
The giant King Alfred daffodils our friend's mum gifted me as bulbs to plant.
The calendula we grow and scatter in our chickens nesting boxes for them to enjoy.
The first everlasting we've grown from seed this season.
More nasturtiums because I have a problem.
There's fluffy wattle trees in bloom all throughout our property.
and beautiful statice already blossoming at the flower farm.
not to mention the lavender my son picked decorated our table with for dinner.

All this flower abundance and it's not even spring yet.
How did we get so lucky 🌸🪻🌻🌼🏵️🌺

Kids don't stop being kids when it gets muddy, wet and messy.

Living in West Australia's great southern means throughout the cooler seasons our kids LIVE in their @crywolfchild pieces.

I can pop their rain overalls and jackets over their outfits and let them go wild without worrying about them getting wet or needing 300 changes of clothes.

Welcome to Forest Farm Denmark 🌿

Our home nestled amongst Jarrah giants where we've been learning how to grow our own food and flowers with our little ones involved every step of the way.

Looks like I've forgotten how to post on Instagram, am I doing this right?

Trying to keep up with everything this year has felt exhausting, and even though it feels like 2026 has just started it's already halfway through.

This feels like the perfect reminder that slow living is as much about changing how we've been conditioned to think as it is how we physically live our lives.

Posting these snippets from the last month as a reminder to myself to resist the rush, the urgency, and the to-do lists.

This season centred around small children goes too fast 🖤

When ladies who garden dare to venture into the real world 👩🏽‍🌾

Our @haven_farm_stall gardening sessions have become something I look forward to every week.

No matter what jobs we are doing, being surrounded by these beautiful women with our hands busy in the earth, tending to the fruit trees and being a safe space for each other is a type of therapy I wish every woman could experience.

I spent my 20s being relatively well known for wearing black.

I think most of us thought it was a fashion thing but, as I've started on my path of "doing the work" I've come to realise it wasn't just about aesthetics.

It was safety.

For a nervous system that grew up in survival mode, wearing all black meant I didn't have to think, and it also meant I was less likely to be perceived.

Now, somewhere in my 30s as I try to figure out my style postpartum, I've found myself curating a wardrobe of sustainable, Australian brands who use natural fabrics - like the incredible @moonface.clothing.

I've also found myself reaching for colour.

Maybe after all this time,
I feel ready to be perceived 🖤
