A short style story; Me, a dream dress, styled for two @fameweekafrica occasions, and a Strelitzia lamp. 💡 by @zydia
Went to a runway show. Left with a proper building crush. 🫶 Tastes + Threads by FAME Week Africa at the new Cape Town EDITION. It was so nice, for a change, to be there as a spectator rather than an exhibitor. To sit back, listen, look, and be in the room for conversations about where African and South African creative work is going next. Wearing new Romaria + @shitsnottailored Observing patterns everywhere. 👀 @capetownedition @fameweekafrica @romaria_knitwear by @zydia
Came for the jacarandas, stayed for the bougs. 🌸 Jozi this time of year. 🫶 #JacarandaInYourPocket by @zydia

IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW. 😉 Sometimes it’s them. Sometimes, inconveniently, it’s you. 💁🏻‍♀️ My first tiny Riso edition. Six prints only, each numbered, signed and slightly different. For you, or the Pooooshkop that comes to mind. Message me if you’d like one. 🖼️ #riso #risoprint by @zydia
Yarn cones to Negronis. Durban factory floors to Jozi after dark. 🐈‍⬛ Somewhere between production and poor bedtime decisions, one new @romaria_knitwear dress sample got a proper night out. 🥂 by @zydia
Realising more and more that creativity is about the willingness to play. It isn’t a segregated part of life. It’s a way of moving through it. A simple observation really. Often forgotten. Whoever said opportunity dances with the people already on the dancefloor might’ve been onto something. 🪩 by @zydia
The last few months looked a bit like this. 🌸 Long roads. Wildflowers. Family. The sea. Conversations I wasn’t expecting. Sometimes a place changes. Sometimes the person looking at it does. The road was never really the point. Maybe paying attention was. 🤎 by @zydia
Some days remind you exactly why you do what you do. 🥹 Yesterday was one of them. Thank you @yay_abe for sharing your talent so generously and filling our space with so much joy. Thank you for every hug, every conversation and every cheer.🥂 Grateful for this crew. 💙 📸: @preyan.naidoo 📍: @smtnggoodstudio @nineyardsjhb by @zydia
I’ve always loved playing dress-up. Not the sparkly princess kinda way. The layering-things-until-it-feels-right kind of way. 🤪 One cardigan, one treasured Black Coffee kimono, one oversized wrap, and suddenly I was having far more fun than should be allowed on an average Tuesday. Also, I appear to be in my ‘girl-gone-green’ era. 🌿 Proudly South African makers from head to toe. by @zydia
From artist-designed blankets in a small Johannesburg gallery to how it has grown into something much bigger... In this interview, Something Good Studio reflects on the journey from those early beginnings to the moment a chance meeting at 100% Design sparked a collaboration that would become Romaria. What began with three knitwear pieces has continued to evolve into a fuller expression of textile, craft, and wearable design, with new collections now moving toward complete looks, layered pieces, and garments made to be lived in. A story of collaboration, creativity, and what can happen when one idea finds the right people to carry it forward. by @zydia
