📸✨ Capturing Confidence Through the Lens ✨📸

Our girls-only photography program, hosted by Bra Code (@thebracodesc) with the talented Candace (@candace_w), gave participants the chance to explore the fundamentals of photography — from respect and angles, to settings and positioning. The girls bonded over fun, hands-on lessons while discovering new passions behind the camera. 💙

The highlight? A live action photoshoot featuring Edmonton Elks players Nicholas Anderson (@neezy.a) and Steven Dunbar (@thatsherkuless_), who generously volunteered their time to talk about their profession, play catch with the youth, and model for our budding photographers. 🏈📸

A huge thank-you to everyone who made this program possible and provided these young women with an unforgettable experience. 🌟

Not the “Bro Code” but “The Bra Code”

Keep your eyes peeled for @thebracode.sc popping up around Edmonton this summer!

If you or someone you know is involved in women’s sports or other local women’s groups/events, please send us a DM! We would love to show our support and hopefully collaborate with more female initiatives in the future 🩷🙏🏼

I never thought I would love teaching, but now I look forward to teaching photography every week! Since last spring I have had multiple opportunities to teach young kids photography, confidence and creativity with the help of the Edmonton Boys and Girls Club (@bgcbigs ).

The goal is to provide youth with a positive outlet they can grow into a creative outlet or even make it their future career path🤞🏼I can’t wait to continue to grow my youth photography program here in Edmonton and meet more amazing people on the way! THANK YOU FOR HELPING US TO WARM OUR NEW HOME WITH SO MUCH LOVE & LAUGHTER 💐❤️‍🔥🫂

We are so incredibly overwhelmed by the kindness that everyone has shared in supporting our spring season relaunch 🥹🌱

It is so special to come together with women who are truly at all-levels, some who have been running for their whole lives, conquering ultra-marathon distances, as well as some really inspiring women who gave us the honour of trusting us with their very first 3km run. ✨🌷

This is a free-to-join, third space for all women & our focus will always be on breaking down the barriers that exist for beginners to feel welcomed into the sport.

Running is a beautiful thing because it can meet you exactly where you’re at & you can count on Safe Space Women’s Running Collective, that we will be there every Tuesday evening to celebrate & support your journey, whatever it looks like.

Rain or shine, all season long.

We love Edmonton, we love the running community, we love amplifying great women & we love you especially so.
