Got this fellow less than 2 minutes after arriving at our final spot of the day! 🎣

And it’s officially a PB grouper for me! 💪🏻

After a 4-5 hour drive back from Rompin, there’s nothing quite like bringing the catch home, sharing it with my family, and personally processing it from start to finish.

The catch is one thing, but the entire experience is what makes it special. Grateful for moments like these. Blessed. ☺️

Elevated my experience playing with these biggies!

Set 8 times and landed 5!

Although I don’t think these biggies fought like how they would in nature, nonetheless, it was fun and learnt much about drag, tension, rod angle and reeling.

The real squid games - Eging! 🦑🦑🦑

It’s a specialized Japanese style of squid fishing that uses a weighted artificial prawn-like lure called an egi. You snap and jerk the rod to mimic a fleeing shrimp.

Day 2 of our September 2026 Holiday Trials brought the energy for Track & Field!
