Need inspiration for a solid full body exercise? The suitcase swing is a variation of the kettlebell swing, which is a compound exercise that works the hips, glutes, quads, and core. To perform the suitcase swing, stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell (or a suitcase) with both hands at arm's length in front of your hips. Keep your back straight and your core engaged, then hinge at the hips to swing the weight back between your legs. Quickly reverse the motion by driving your hips forward, using the momentum to lift the weight to shoulder height. Make sure to keep your arms straight and your shoulders relaxed throughout the movement. At GRITYARD, we design workouts with purpose and clear objectives. Experience routines that suit your goals with the 7 Day Unlimited Trial for only $35. Sign up link in bio. #grityardsg #goayardfurther #goyardorgohome #suitcaseswings #core #fitnesssg

Preparing for our signature FUNDAMENTALS class today where we teach essential movements through specially selected exercises. One of those exercises is the overhead press into squats. The overhead press into squat is a compound exercise that targets multiple muscle groups in the body. To perform this exercise, begin by standing with a barbell or dumbbells at shoulder height, palms facing forward. Press the weight overhead while keeping your core tight and your back straight. Once the weight is fully extended overhead, lower it back to your shoulders and immediately perform a squat by sitting back and down, keeping your knees behind your toes. Find out more on how this exercise helps you toward your goals of gaining strength, a better posture and more by joining us for this class! Not a #gritfam member yet? Acceleration for sports. If this interest you and you are one of them, continue to read. We have met plenty of athletes across team sports having the same question: “I want to be faster and more powerful! How do I do it?” Solution? Work on basic acceleration mechanics. You can’t cheat the law of nature. For most sports, while Top End speed is not utilised most of the time, but that doesn’t mean having proper acceleration isn’t important. In fact, if an athlete can master and maximise the FIRST 2 push (steps), this will allow the athlete to reach the a higher speed quicker. DM us if you have any questions and will be get back to you 🤙 ▫️ ▫️ #strength #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning #performance #sportsperformance #performancetraining #coachsg #strengthcoach #strengthcoaching #netballsg #coachsg #strengthsg #performancesg #sportsg #sportssg #speedtraining #speedcoaching #plyometrics #speedskills
