“[Mov III.] ‘Urgent, breathless’ closes Honstein’s triptych with renewed motion and a sharper sense of urgency. Electronic pulses return, now more insistent and rhythmically driving, and Fisher’s vibraphone threads a remarkably clear melodic line through increasingly dense surrounding textures, energized, tightly controlled, and colourful, bringing the work to a satisfying close while still preserving the spatial ambiguity that defined the whole piece. It’s a joyous, warmly lit movement, full of the same bright, slightly nostalgic glow that opened the album, now pushed into a more insistent, dance-like gear.” -Frankie Pfeiffer at PARIS-MOVE

A graduate assistantship in percussion is available at Northern Arizona University, Kitt School of Music for Fall 2027!

This is a great opportunity for a percussionist interested in pursuing a Masters in Music Performance, while also gaining valuable teaching experience. The stipend is $7,500 plus partial or full tuition remission.

Thank you to the Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research for having @fisherlauproject in residency! We had a wonderful time working with the Kutztown University percussion students in a masterclass, performing a concert, and recording.
