Want a deeper squat? 🏋️‍♂️ Don’t just force it. Address what’s limiting you. Try these 3: 1️⃣ Band Knee Flexion Mobilization 10x3sec hold Improve knee mobility if tightness is limiting your depth. 2️⃣ Slow Negative Heel Raises x10 Build ankle mobility and control to improve dorsiflexion. 3️⃣ Loop Band Squats 2x10 Actively drive the knees out to open the hips and access more depth. Better mobility + better control = better positions. Save this for your next squat session. 👊 #SquatDepth #SquatMobility #CrossFit #StrengthTraining #PerformancePT by @ascend_performance_therapy

If you’re a grappler, I would bet you’ve definitely had some neck pain. Getting your neck yanked, cranked, and squeezed comes with the territory—but that doesn’t mean you have to just live with it. 3 exercises to help: 1️⃣ Sub-occipital soft tissue mobilization. 2 minutes per side. Target the muscles just below the base of your skull. Add some pressure with your hand on your forehead while gently nodding and rotating. 2️⃣ Retraction + extension. 10 reps 2-3x/day. Restore neck range of motion with controlled movement through retraction and extension. 3️⃣ Prone retraction + rotation. 2x10 reps 1x/day. Build back the strength and control your neck needs to handle the demands of grappling. If you’re a grappler struggling with persistent neck pain, reach out and we can help you resolve it 🤙 #JiuJitsu #BJJ #Grappling #NeckPain #BJJStrength by @ascend_performance_therapy
Special thanks to Tim Brown with Ascend Performance Therapy for working with NNXC today! @ascend_performance_therapy by @ascend_performance_therapy
Copenhagen planks are one of my favorite ways to build strong, resilient hips and adductors for functional fitness. Why do I like them so much? •Great for athletes who squat, lunge, run, jump & change direction •Builds serious adductor strength •Challenges trunk stability •Helps prepare the groin for the demands of sport and training And you don’t have to start with the hardest variation. Short lever → Long lever → Long lever + hip dips Start where you can own the position, then progressively increase the challenge. Save this progression and give it a try in your next accessory session. 🔥 #CrossFit #FunctionalFitness #CopenhagenPlank #AdductorStrength #HipStrength by @ascend_performance_therapy
