🌙✨The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same. ~Carlos Castaneda ✌️💖🎨

Thank you to @dacartconsulting and @anna_heisterberg for the insightful interview and feature! Read through for a little hint as to how my brain functions. 🔮⚡️🌈🎨✌️🧚🏻🦋🍄🌻

⚡️Flashback to one year ago. One year?!! I’m not huge on anniversaries, but this one means a lil something more to me. I will never forget the feeling of plunking down my big ol’ bucket and toolbox that very first day in the stairwell, and staring at the massive blank blue walls. At that moment, like I think all profound moments in life, I felt like I had almost been beamed there. ⚡️ That might sound wacko, but I’m a little wacko, so hey. 🤷🏼‍♀️ And I will forever remember the precise song that was pumping through my headphones when I started those first brushstrokes. ✌️❤️🎨

I dragged The Bear out into the sunshine today to give him a really good once-over and see where the composition was leading next. Several more elements and details to go, but so far he seems to be loving his new tattoo suit. 🎨 #amandamoodyart #artcollector #artprocess #resinart #hendersonvillenc taken in Weddington, North Carolina by @bombshelves

I have a list of potential painting titles in my notes app that’s over a mile long by now. None of them seem to apply at the moment, at least in my brain. I’m known to be an over thinker sometimes though. Ok, we can say more than sometimes. Sooooo…presenting “Slow Burn II” 30x30” ink on cradled Claybord. 💜😬 #amandamoodyart #contemporaryartist #contemporaryart #artprocess by @bombshelves

My first date with The Bear! Sanding him down so his painted tattoos will adhere properly. He got a lil embarrassed towards the end, so the more intimate portions are gonna remain off camera. 📸 🐻#amandamoodyart #artcollector #artprocess #resinart #contemporaryartist by @bombshelves

Flow > force. 🐌 🌊 Alcohol ink can test your patience if you are into that sort of thing. Luckily I don’t have an impatient bone in my body, except when it comes to waiting for the coffee pot to brew. ☕️ 🐌 Clips are sped up so y’all don’t fall asleep…#amandamoodyart #alcoholink #artprocess #contemporarypainting #workinprogress taken in Weddington, North Carolina by @bombshelves

“Slow Burn” got herself a lil photoshoot before she was delivered last night. Don’t judge the state of my baseboards please. 💕💜🫧✨🌸🦄#amandamoodyart #contemporaryartist #contemporarypainting taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @bombshelves

Solar eclipse in Leo commemorative post for the grid. I wouldn’t call myself the typical Leo, but *maybe* a few things are.⚡️♌️🦁🌻❤️‍🔥🦋🌘💫 by @bombshelves

I’m a bit of a creature of habit and usually work larger scale, but I’ve been loving this little flurry of smaller commissions lately. 🌊 #artprocess #resinart #contemporaryartist #contemporarypainting #abstractlandscape taken in Weddington, North Carolina by @bombshelves

The Bear Chronicles, Chapter One. Slide one shows short artistic woman for scale. Slide two: Bear has quite an opinionated backseat driver attitude that I did NOT appreciate, especially once I was on my least favorite I-85. He and I are gonna have to have a little come-to-Jesus meeting if I am going to execute his artwork properly. 🎨🐻 #artsculpture #resinart #westernncart #ashevilleart taken in Flat Rock, Henderson County, North Carolina by @bombshelves

Fun little side quest…slightly elevated Paint Your Own Pottery. 🤓 I might be convinced to do more of these… #amandamoodyart #artprocess #abstractfloral #contemporaryartist #southernartist taken in Weddington, North Carolina by @bombshelves
