This is intentional and always calculated, with many layers behind it. I had the crowd at a high energy level throughout my set and wanted to give them a moment to breathe before taking them into the next stage of going hard. For the hundreds of people who had never seen me DJ before, it created an opportunity to experience something different and witness some of my signature moments.I start with the original version of the track, segue into scratching my name (similar to tagging your name with graffiti on a wall), and then transition into a remix. That element of surprise rebuilds the energy and lifts the party again.Stay tuned for more videos from this set at the @dhlstormers vs @sharksrugby after party at Cape Town Stadium. #love #music #capetown Massive shout out to @redbullza 🙌 by @djreadyd

This year we did things slightly different at @capetown7s - The vibes and energy went through the roof. I usually go sky high in those cherry pickers for a DJ Battle simulation. This year I did the transitions between the competing DJ’s in the form of a referee 😀 Massive shoutout to the cast for amplifying the performance and entertainment value 🤩 My colleague at @kfmza - @carlwastie brought the heat as the MC for this showcase 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 #grateful #love #music by @djreadyd

Thought I was a DJ 🤔 - I will break down the thinking, method and the platform that I used for this exhibition in future videos and workshops - I grabbed a few moments from my 8 minute showcase. #love #music #capetown #creative #DJLife by @djreadyd

I don’t own a copy of our music in this format 🤯 - Haven’t seen this since 1992 when it was released 😳 - Please share your @prophetsofdacity pictures, news paper clippings and stories - 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 to these gentlemen for the support and preserving the music and the platforms that they were released on. Our first song was banned and a music video from a different track censored from this album 😮 by @djreadyd

House & Dance Music - It’s your turn 🤩 - Here’s the first of a series of short mixes that will focus on creating live flips and mashups on the VDJ platform. I’m using stem swaps, scratch banks, stem pads, custom effects and hot cues to do phrase jumps. Button pressing requires preparation, understanding of music, concentration and different skill sets to make the mix exhibitions interesting. #learn #music #creative #dj #mixing capetown by @djreadyd

I dropped this track as a break away moment to set up for the incredible DJ KENT. It was also something for the young music fans that was waiting for this banger to come on. Always love playing to an audience with diverse music tastes. #love #music #capetown by @djreadyd

I had to end off with a massive dance banger that they never saw coming. I spent more than five hours with this audience and we needed to go on that special music journey. #corporateevents #djlife #magic #moments by @djreadyd
