Dylan Meek and friends played brilliantly at our Yellow house dance hall organized by @groupmuse on Saturday. Dylan stunned us with JAZZ-ified versions of classical works by Liszt and Beethoven as well as so many wildly thrilling collaborative compositions with Mathias Kunzli on drums - Dylan Meek on Keys - clarinetist John Tegmeyer. So fun and exceptional - beyond - beyond! I’ll post a few more video clips - but really I wanted to be with it all - and not dealing with my phone camera. So amazing! @dylanmeekmusic @MathiasKunzli #johntegmeyer #jazz #homeshow #musicimprovisation #collaboration by @geoffseelinger

Check out Mudroom, a fantastic show of 73 artists @foyer_la !!!

Last week, @foyer_la hosted a long table gathering for artist conversations. It was beyond wonderful for me to genuinely connect with so many. Thank you @walshconstance for hosting and creating a space and ethos where we enjoyed being human and artists together along with sharing in an exciting show!

I’m still processing my experience as it was refreshing beyond!

Delighted to be included in MUDROOM @foyer_la Feb 20th-Mar22nd.
Wake, 2025, 48”x54”, Acrylic on canvas (dry brush) was a quick response to the LA wildfires. The fire came within 200 yards of our home and we are now witness to a horror and rebirth of our scorched surroundings. We were lucky…so many we know lost so much and everything…
MUDROOM is an invitation to all the artists who have been a part of FOYER-LA since its beginning. Each artist had the opportunity to select another artist to participate. I chose @elizabeth_huey. MUDROOM in so many ways is a community builder. We are all gathering for an artist discussion that precedes the show. #topanga #contemporaryart #artists #fineart #painting #sculpture #movingimage #artcommunity #laarts #chinatownarts #palisadesfire #firerecovery #newart by @geoffseelinger

Look Forward Look Back, Oil on canvas 30x48.25” - My most recent painting of this a series inspired by canyon greens, wild weather, distant peaks, memories and moods. The clouds are inspired by Albuquerque thunderheads I appreciated in the summers when I was a kid. For me this was the most satisfying and confounding so far of this series. It was recently shown in a group show, Strange Sensation at FoyerLA @foyer_la - where it had been placed on hold beyond the show. - - - Our house and my studio are on the map for Open Studios of Topanga @openstudiosoftopanga. Please stop by. We’re also hosting artist, Jane O’Neill, @onejanem, Jane’s work is stunning! - Sat & Sun (10am - 5pm). #art #painting #contemporaryart #sculpture #assemblage #found nature #landscapepainting #openstudio #topangacanyon by @geoffseelinger

Elizabeth , 60x48”, oil on canvas. This was a first painting in a series of allegorical landscapes inspired by window views through foliage on Kerry Lane of Topanga Canyon. I kept it a private painting as I was embarrassed to work toward a idealized “pretty” painting, yet it started me on an path of developing several other complicated allegorical landscapes that speak to so much looking inward and witnessing beyond. #art #painting #contemporaryart #landscapepainting #openstudio #topangacanyon by @geoffseelinger

Studio Window View, 20”x10” oil on canvas. This painting happened so easily I felt blessed, as confounding challenges proceeded it. It’s a gem to me.
