🛠️👻 PACKING UP THE HATCHERY. Strike is the part of theatre nobody sees in the final performance: the packing, lifting, sorting, dismantling, and many hands working together to bring a whole world back to pieces.

After weeks of building this strange little world, it was time to take it apart — with the same care, teamwork, and community that brought it to life.

👻🎨 ART + SCIENCE IN THE HATCHERY. One of the things that made Ghosts of the Hatchery special was what happened around the performance.

Our exploration stations brought together the Friday Harbor Labs Ocean Arts cohort, artists, educators, researchers, and our dramaturg to share work spanning river and brain sounds, salmon storytelling, shoreline art, algorithmic creativity, and current topics in salmon conservation.

Huge gratitude to everyone who showed up, shared their work, and helped transform the Georgetown Steam Plant into a space for curiosity, conversation, and connection.

This is what happens when art + science meet in the hatchery. 🐟🎨👻

👻 LOOK WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN. A haunted hatchery takes a village. From our writer, director, cast, designers, crew and volunteers—To the people making costumes, wrangling props, running sound, solving problems, and somehow keeping all these ghosts, scientists, salmon, and questionable decisions moving in the same direction.

Ghosts of the Hatchery exists because a whole lot of people brought their talent, care, creativity, and very specific skills to this strange little world.

To everyone who helped bring this production to life: thank you. 💙

And onward we go — one more weekend in the hatchery.
