An international Delphi consensus developed under the auspices of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry (ESDaP) provides practical recommendations to support the assessment and management of delusional infestation (DI). The experts reached consensus on key aspects of care, including early dermatology-psychiatry collaboration, tailored communication, appropriate diagnostic work-up and the use of antipsychotics as first-line treatment, while recognizing the importance of addressing both the psychiatric and cutaneous aspects of the condition.
