Whew! This summer has been an absolute whirlwind. We welcomed Ember on July 1st, River turned 2, and we moved to Boulder CO very shortly after.

Having Ali @ali.caudill capture one of the final days before we said goodbye to the east coast was a no brainer (despite the total chaos that ensued getting everyone ready, fed, and not feral for said photos 🤣).

I came to DC for grad school to try out a new city. I didn’t know anyone. I found a couple of roommates on Craigslist and took a major leap of faith, plus I knew I could move back to Chicago once my program was over if I didn’t like it here.

Well, a decade later and here we are! DC and then Del Ray was a sweet sweet chapter full of learning, growing, finding my voice, taking chances, and twists and turns I would have never predicted. New friends, new experiences, marrying the hotdog food truck guy, evolving in so many ways, and just so much life — the highs and the lows, and I’m so grateful for everything this city and the people in it taught me.

So here we are taking another major leap of faith and moving to a new place, this time with our two girlies (and of course, there’s Milo).

So many people have asked us why / why Boulder? The honest answer is because it just feels intuitively right for us. That’s it! Sometimes it is that simple.

WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! 💥📢

this has been in the works for a long time. we spent most of 2023 setting the ground work but 2024 has been better than we could have ever expected! 🤯

we only just launched on shelves in June of this year & are already in over 400 grocery stores including @wholefoods @freshthyme @momsorganicmarket @happiergrocery @double_l_market & so many more!

we’ve gotten DMs and messages from thousands of people all over the country who want better fries and I’m happy to say we’ll FINALLY have solutions for you very very soon.

very grateful for all that’s happened in 2024 but 2025 is going to be EVEN CRAZIER.

✅ eating healthy can be simple

swap out ultra-processed oils for better options like:

🥩 beef tallow
🧈 butter (or ghee)
🥥 coconut oil
🥑 avocado oil

wondering why? 🤔

these saturated and monounsaturated fats are WAY more stable than polyunsaturated (+ highly processed using bleach, deodorizers, and hexane) vegetable oils.

when oils are less stable, they break down when you cook. it can lead to “oxidative stress” which is tied to all
sorts of health problems and inflammation.

@drcateshanahan has a great book on all the science!
