There are some seasons of marriage you don’t talk or post about while you’re in them. The truth is they’re private & must be protected.

Another truth…

You’re too busy surviving them. Praying through them. Fighting through them. Fighting for each other through them.

Justin & I have walked through a season that has been brutal(understatement)

Hard truths. Tears. Grief. Accountability. Looking at parts of ourselves we would’ve rather avoided and asking God to expose what needed to change in BOTH of us.

And somehow… it has brought us closer.

Not because everything we’ve walked through was good, but because we decided we weren’t going to waste the pain.

We learned to tell the truth/communicate. Own our garbage. Forgive w/out pretending something didn’t hurt. Set boundaries without guilt. Fight for each other instead of just fighting with each other.

If you notice us doing things differently now… just know it’s on purpose.

Intentional.

Literally everything we do right now is being filtered through:

Does this honor God?
Is this good for our marriage?
Is this who GOD is calling us to be?
Is this good for our family?

We may not show up to everything anymore.
We may say no when people expected a yes.
We may protect time we used to give away.
We may disappoint people who were accustomed to having access to us.

We’re okay with that!

Because we’ve learned that our yes belongs to us, & so does our no.

We don’t have to do something simply because it’s expected of us.

Our marriage doesn’t exist to meet everyone else’s expectations. It exists to honor God.

Maybe that’s why Dangerously in Love hits differently right now.

After 19 years together, I don’t love this man with a naive love that thinks marriage is supposed to be easy.

I love him with my eyes wide open.

This season tested us.
It exposed us.
It refined us.

It has made us better humans, better partners, & better friends. The Power couple.

Still healing. Still growing. Still learning.

But most importantly…

We choose God & still choose each other. On purpose.

So if you see us moving differently, we are.

She should have run a long time ago.

Instead, she chased me straight into hell to pull me out of the darkness.

While America celebrates 250 years of freedom this weekend, I'm celebrating a freedom that hits a whole lot closer to home — the freedom this woman fought for on my behalf when I couldn't fight for myself. My wife @ebach85

There was a version of me that was hopeless. Body broken. Mind darker than I ever want to describe. The kind of place most people would have walked away from — and honestly, should have. But she didn't. She set a standard I had no choice but to rise to, and then she walked beside me every step of the climb out. Not behind me pushing. Not in front of me pulling. Beside me. Through the worst of it.

Radical recovery. Complete recovery. That doesn't happen without someone willing to stand in the fire with you.

I won't get into the details here — maybe one day that becomes a book. But what I can say is this: the demons I've faced were the darkest I've ever known, and I didn't beat them alone. I beat them because she refused to let me lose.

So this weekend, yeah — I'm proud to be an American. But my real independence? My real freedom? It has her name on it.

I love you. Thank you for saving me. 🇺🇸❤️

Evenings like this remind us why we fight for what matters most.

As the sun dips low over our little slice of Missouri countryside, painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and red, I’m filled with gratitude. It’s a daily reminder of God’s faithfulness.

In seasons of healing, restoration, and rebuilding, we’re choosing to stay rooted in His promises and relentless in our love for each other. Whether we’re chasing sunsets after dinner, riding bikes (or mowers) down the gravel road, picking random bible verses and studying its meaning, these quiet moments anchor us.

“He makes everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

To my wife Erin, Bailey, and Landen, I love walking this path with you. Grateful for every sunrise and sunset we get to share.

Yesterday we had a great day celebrating Landens 10th birthday. We went rock climbing, went to a super weird mall 🤣, then to sushi. It was a great day spending time together! Core memory for sure and Landens obsession for rock climbing was officially unlocked! There will be lots more rock climbing adventures.

Landen we love you so much! Your love for life and all adventure is truly inspiring and always challenges us to just have fun and enjoy all the moments. We feel so blessed to be your parents. by @jwbachman

Well, well, well… today he celebrates 20 years clean and sober, and honestly…is there anything more miraculous than that?

This is such a massive milestone for Justin, and I couldn’t be more proud of the man he’s become. He has now been clean and sober longer than he ever used or drank, which in itself is incredible. But what truly overwhelms me is the number of lives he’s touched in those 20 years. It’s immeasurable. You can’t count it.

I love the way he loves people. I love the way he serves. And I love the heart he has for helping others find hope.

And for anyone out there still fighting battles…please hear this part.

Justin is a former intravenous meth user. A “try-anything” addict. By the world’s standards, he created a lot of damage. Counted out. Labeled hopeless.

Today, he is a faithful husband, a father of two children who have never seen him drink or use, a wildly successful entrepreneur, owns a Jiu jitsu gym and serves the community, earned his black belt, He’s now fulfilling another dream of being a firefighter, currently in school to become a paramedic, and quite literally..he can do anything and everything he sets his mind to.

So if you think all hope is lost… I promise you, it isn’t.
It may feel like it right now…but once you start choosing recovery, once you start choosing life, your life will begin to unfold in a way God intended it to. Your mess will become your message.

I am so proud you’re my husband, my best friend, and the father of our children. Watching you grow every single day has been one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me.

Twenty years ago, you chose life…and because of that choice, countless other lives were spared because of that choice.
I know it hasn’t always been easy…but man on man it’s been worth it and we serve a loving God that’s been so good and used it all to bring people closer to him through your story🙌
