i suck at editing reels so u have to read a bit and inDEED this will be on my upcoming s*bst*ck!!! please swipe for captions and zoomies for text! how do i do separate captions

in a span of 1.5hrs we invited people to season our almost identical pots of hot porridge and live churning rice cream. some carried memories from childhood, or a slice of upbringing, or just personal preferences. i have not yet checked out the ingredient logs, hopefully i could recall them all hihi

@thuyanhxanhmuot cảm ơn liên hiệp văn minh lúa nước nóng lạnh và @a.experimental.art for hosting, anh Minh & @thaobuiwho giúp đỡ vận chuyển máy kem, @my.teeth.are.cold for said ice cream machine, nguyễn fih and friends who came xx by @kieu____anh

evaporation (an edible olfactory response to Thuy Anh’s work, 2026)

ice cream wrapped in banana leaves, found and broom straw-flavored, oud wood smoked

answering @thuyanhxanhmuot ‘s call for a fun quest, i took one of Hanoi’s annoying air features into ice cream while incorporating its root causes, all at once. as i wrapped the ice cream into bite sizes everyone instinctively guessed the flavor by the presentation, be it steamed pork roll or glutinous cakes. some said the smoke note was latex-like, raincoat hinted. do let me know what you guessed!

it is indeed a long conversation on smelling with your nose versus smelling with retro nasal as you eat that i’d hope to write more soon-

(sold out!!) there might be some bites left at @a.experimental.art & @my.teeth.are.cold stocks some full-size cups left for purchases.
please contact either of ^ for your inquiries xx

𝙏𝙈𝙄, or 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, is a project that (Kiều-Anh + Nisa) started to explore how different disciplines can work together to unpack complex topics. we start with 𝗧𝗠𝗜: 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬𝟭, a zine reflecting on the connection between where we are sheltered: home, country, an imaginary land of the past, a hearsay sense of belonging, and places that have shaped one’s identity, the initial atmosphere of comfort.

we are very happy to introduce 𝗧𝗠𝗜: 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬𝟭 at Yogyakarta Art Book Fair (@ykartbookfair ) 2026, from 8–9 May 2026. find us at 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝟯 with KUNCI Copy Station and Reading Sideways Press.

for those who’s interested to collect our publication but unable to come to Jogja, we’re releasing a pre-order form for friends in Indonesia and Vietnam.
nonetheless, if you reside outside these two countries, please feel free to fill the form. we will try to find ways to deliver our piece to your door.

how to capture a lingering taste of a fleeting performance?

two pots constantly cooking and churning, almost identical spices, seasoned to taste by audiences. this captured memory is not limited to how particularly what each stage tasted like, or how strangely nice each unnamed spice blended together blindly. rather, it will be a recall of the feeling of sharing something unknown, all at once, altogether, with the passing of time and fermentation 🍄‍🟫

⚡️two pots ecologie⚡️
18:00 – 21:30
📍 @a.experimental.art

18:00 – 21:30
📍 @a.experimental.art

some short thoughts before i start my substack, but maybe “aesthetic community feast” has always been an essential home economic skills for vietnamese. men would brag about best beer and squids and grilled ducks (and bring said catch to the table as an ego insurance), while tomato swans and hummingbird shaped chilis are the edible zoo to flex that knife skill. i don’t have both. but because both me and Thuy Anh are funny we thought of making our own edible urban plan of Hanoi, in response to the city itself. cucumber river, chả quế pavement, giò bò landmark, fallen tía tô plant, mount of xôi chim, lake of thịt nướng. i invited people to make their own land, and they got to eat it later too.

cảm ơn @thuyanhxanhmuot đã mời em bày cỗ! cùng các tình nguyện viên @a.experimental.art , @san_studio_san , chị @ngoc_nau và Vincent! by @kieu____anh
