Well that's another @seam_collective #SeptTextileLove26 complete with this post and as always it's been fascinating seeing everyone's work, so much so that it is always difficult, not to say impossible, to choose one favourite. Therefore I'm going for two, @paulenecattle and @mikki.1964 so I hope they don't mind me adding their images to this post. Day 28 prompt- Place.
I thought this was going to be the easiest prompt, all my work is about place, but it was a difficult one which took lots of thought!
This series represents my little garden.
Deconstructed log cabin block, dyed with flowers from my garden and stitched back together again using the backing fabric as the centre.
Place anchors me, carries memories and emotions, people and animals, takes me back to a previous life.
But I am learning - my place comes from within, wherever I am stitching, in this moment, is my place 💜 .
