2025 CANPL Westerns Recap

Squat: 135kgs | 141.5kgs | 148.5kgs National Record
Bench: 77.5kgs | 82.5kgs | 85.5kgs National Record
Deadlift: 160kgs | 167.5kgs | 175kgs
Total: 409kgs National Record at 46.91kgs, 113.59 GLP

First meet at 47kg! Definitely a challenging cut, but rewarding to be able to take home 3 records and best lifter overall. I started off at 51.6kgs and was able to get down through the span of 15 weeks. Minor mishap with my scale calibration, and initially weighed in at 47.02kgs, but was able to make weight after 15mins of more spitting and sweating. 😂

I honestly did not know how I would feel and how my body would react going through my first weight cut + water load + gut cut + spitting/sweating 4 hours before weigh in. I’ve always competed at 52kgs throughout my powerlifting career with very small diet/water manipulations, so I knew the cut would be tough, and I was very against the idea at first. However, I’m really happy with my performance, and to meet the goals I set for myself going into this meet, but this lower weight class is definitely not sustainable for me, and I will go back up to 52kgs eventually.

Thank you to all my friends and family who continue to support me ♥️ (and thanks for all the post comp celebration meals 😂). Thanks to the CSC team @nlperformancerehab @jeff.t.anderson @seanyen83kg for all you do, and @casciolisc for all the guidance, support, and patience with the cut, and for always making the right calls on meet day!

Thank you @sbdcanada for the constant support and for providing the best gear to compete and train in!

Thanks to @nerdypl and @missjenguin for putting together an amazing meet! And to all the officials and volunteers who helped make the meet run. It was also fun to have so familiar faces spot and load my session!
