Thanks to everyone who came out to @texasclayfestival this year. It sure was a busy weekend! Things looked a bit different for the fest, and for us too, but the community still showed up! We love you all! Until next year! 💞 by @nomceramics

Hope to see you all this weekend @texasclayfestival 💗 by @nomceramics

Opening Today at 10:00 am CST ✨ Nom Ceramics

Today we’re thrilled to welcome Nom Ceramics, the collaborative practice of Scott and Rebeca Proctor, to AKAR.

Working from their studio on a three-acre property outside Austin, Texas, Scott and Rebeca create ceramics born from shared ideas, layered surfaces, and a deep love of atmospheric firing. Every piece is a true collaboration: Scott throws on the wheel, Rebeca hand builds, and together they glaze each work side by side, passing pieces back and forth until they’re complete.

This new body of work celebrates a season of growth. Inspired by the colors of spring, the lush landscape surrounding their home, and the arrival of their second son, Huey Ray, the show reflects both family life and studio life—where raising two young boys, tending gardens, building kilns, and making pottery all become part of the same creative rhythm.

We hope you’ll experience their remarkable surfaces, thoughtful forms, and unmistakable passion for clay, glaze, and atmospheric firing.

The show opens todayat 10:00 am CST. We can’t wait to share it with you.

What a whirlwind of a weekend. Through wind, rain, hail, toddler meltdowns and sleepless nights - we made it through our sixth @texasclayfestival and saw so many pots find new homes. Thank you to all of our patrons, friends, and family for your support. Specifically my parents and my brother - we really couldn’t have done this without you. Clay Fest looks different for us each year... This one felt the hardest, having a toddler and a newborn, but our little village came together to help us succeed. Thank you a million times over! by @nomceramics

Come find your new favorite sipper at @texasclayfestival ❤️
