Early morning 2+ hour drive out of Havana into Viñales Valley. We arrive at the farm to mount our horses and head further into the valley and visit a tobacco farm, an off the grid site to learn about coffee bean harvesting, making rum and cooking Cuban food outdoors.
Our horse guide said to use the word, gasolina to make the horses go faster. We wound through the muddy trails for a while a little slow and our guide said we needed to move faster. When I said, “Gasolina”! This horse took off like Seattle Slew! 🤣
So after a few hours romping through the valley still sitting on this race horse, sweating like a steaming tamale, brushing up against all sorts of plants and trees, and also now hanging on to a hand rolled honey 🍯 soaked cigar...my daughters caption of this first pic...”I’m finna chop this whole damn forest down!” 😂
