What do you struggle with as a support worker health wise? Lack of exercise? Struggle to eat cold meals in your car? Don’t know what to eat? Whatever it is, as nuanced or as varied as you like. Please let me know

The mental fatigue is real. Even when you’re physically fine, you’re just drained by the end of the day.

As a 24/7 support worker for last 10 yrs, I want to first of all thank you for creating this space. Alot of our struggles come from the fact that no one is talking about this. We see nutritional advice from people who live set refined lives, but it doesn't translate for a worker who does day/night/day shifts. I would love some advice on how to maintain nutritionally balanced when the eating schedule can not be pre-planned and can change at any minute. A holistic advice around nutrition, sleep and maintenance of mental health in a highly-intense, hyper-aware and continually fluctuating work schedule. Nutrition simplified to be high benefit no matter how flexible the responsibilities or hours 🙏🏼

I’m a support worker in aged care and I generally carry healthy snacks that I can keep in the car, I carry an esky of water bottles so I am always hydrated and always make sure I do stretches before, between (if I have a spare minute) and after my shifts for the day. 🫶🏻
