This weekend reminded me just how true that is.

I had the opportunity to volunteer at the @southernnaturalshowdown , and wow — what an experience. If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that @thestevepayne knows how to promote and host an incredible show. The energy, the organization, the care that went into every detail… it was a blessing to witness and be a part of.

Volunteering gave me a whole new appreciation for what happens behind the scenes — from tickets and signage, to lighting and music cues, to making sure every part flows exactly how it should. It really is an orchestration. And being in that mix, meeting new people, connecting with the judges, networking with athletes… it was special.

But honestly?
My favorite part was getting to show up for my friends. To be in the audience screaming, cheering, and supporting them from the heart. Moments like that remind you why community matters in this sport.

If you ever get the chance, volunteer at a show.
You’ll walk away with gratitude, perspective, and a deeper love for the bodybuilding world.
