The Bond Stones
It has been said that you can write your own story with the historic lifting stones, like the Dinnie Stones for example, and add your page to their tale. I think that many great people have proven this to be the case.
5 years ago, I set out to do this as well. Ever since I saw @sf_emeritus_marshall training for and then lifting the Dinnie Stones, their grip on me (ha!) just deepened.
In the last 3 years, I got the honour to meet @jackshanks35 and @stevie_shanks , @nicol.brett , @jamesrosemary3747 and so many great people that are connected with these relics of strength.
The more I learned about the Steen´s history and the people who lifted them, the more my fascination grew, and let me tell you, even after two trips to Scotland, I still want to come back for more!
But then you can also create a new history with stones that themselves have no history yet, if you accept the premise that it’s not the stone(s) themselves but the story behind them and the people who lifted them.
As wedding gift, my wonderful wife @conemma1 got me (in collaboration with Stevie Shanks and @gordonjingram) two ringed lifting stones. She named the “Bond Stones”, and if you have a look at the meaning of the word “bond” I think you will see why this is an absolute perfect name. The Bond Stones are not historic stones (yet) but you will probably understand why these two stones are of utmost significance to me! They are close to being replicas of the Dinnie Stones, but still different enough to deserve their own story - and this is what I am setting out to do: putting forth the challenge to lift or even carry them (!) - and making them another bond between stone lifters world wide.
They are located in Tübingen, Germany, and available to lift. If you are interested, please get in contact with me.

Love this. I made a pair myself in the states after lifting the dinnies. Trying to make them a destination. Have a handful of people that have lifted them so far. @thefountainstones
