Today we celebrate National Industrial Design Day.

Industrial Design is fun, exciting, and always evolving. At times it’s unpredictable—and even unfair—but it’s also deeply creative, visual, and tangible. It’s an experience, a strategy, a point of view; something that can feel abstract while remaining grounded in the real world.

So, how do you define industrial design? ✨

Would love to hear a special covering why Johny Ives Ferrari car design was such a epic turd drop and fail, and also curious if someone would chime in on why he can’t seem to leave breakaway from his Apple/Iphone design language and move on? Was he a one trick pony?

The fact that Offsite exists makes a lot of sense to me. As industrial designers, we question how people live and improve systems. Makes sense that we also have a school the questions how education should be taught 🙌

Love how designers get to challenge how and why things are made; if they are still relevant for people, and societies. Taking broader perspectives, making products and systems more inclusive and mindful of it s own impact on the people and the planet. Gets me excited to see what the next generation of designers will challenge and reshape 👏
