Thank you @chapmanbags for commissioning me to paint your new ‘Madeline’ bucket bag for the Chelsea Flower Show. It was such a pleasure to spend time with the team on the stand; Cedric, Jess, Laura and Jayne!
Jess is one of my best friends and we met years ago on our art foundation course, so collaborating together on this project felt incredibly special. She designs Chapmans’ artisan handcrafted handbags in Carlisle, Cumbria. Their respect for craftsmanship and handmade work made this commission even more meaningful.
It was also wonderful to see Jayne painting leatherwork live on the stand, creating bespoke pieces.
And to make the experience even more memorable, I brought my baby to the show!! No mean feat (more baby changing facilities please @rhs!) but such a special one to share together 💕🌺💕
