The Beard, a queer political thriller I had the absolute privilege of directing, is having its World Premiere at @newfacesnewvoices in New York on June 23.

There is so much I want to share about this film and what it means to me, but first I want to acknowledge the wonderfully talented humans who brought this film into being. 

Together, with their artistic generosity, we created a piece of empathic truth-telling and artistic activism at a time when LGBTQ+ rights are increasingly under attack. Making this story with this team, at this moment in time – witnessing the degree of care, vulnerability and heart they all brought to the table – was a deeply meaningful experience for Nate, Rick and myself. 

Our gratitude cannot be understated.
