This Sunday, I ran my very first half marathon (13.1 miles), and I am so grateful I did. 🏅✨
From starting my training journey in January to spraining my ankle just two weeks before race day 😭🫠, the range of emotions I’ve experienced has been a whirlwind.
Crossing that finish line reminded me just how capable we are as humans when we commit to ourselves and keep showing up, even when it’s hard. Being part of the small percentage of people who have completed a half marathon is something I’m incredibly proud of.
At the beginning of this year, my only goal was to consistently show up for myself. What I didn’t realize was how rewarding that decision would be for not just me, but for my girls and my #1 supporter, who have been cheering me on every step of the way. ❤️
To my amazing running crew,
@donas.y.dons , and the friends
@florecitasrunclub who encouraged me throughout my runs and moment of doubt, a huge thank you!
Lastly, to the FB friend who I’m so thankful I added as friend a million years ago 😆 and inspired me to get moving last year
@elem06 - Thank you for showing up as your authentic self and sharing your magnetic energy.
Here’s to getting comfortable being uncomfortable and discovering what we’re truly capable of. 💫
