they never understand that being the one to capture the event is the most disrespected position in the whole chain of the lifestyle....... Standing all day in the hot sun watching others have fun is like being the hungry man outside the restaurant while everyone feasts!

Kudos to you, Jim… I couldn’t do it! I moved to Hawaii in 1983 to become a “surf photographer”. After the first couple of months I realized that I only get to surf when the waves are crummy? AND I only got paid a pittance for the few things I did get published. That just wasn’t gonna happen… 😆 Not to mention the fact that I had to compete with all these OG legends shooting film! 🙌🏼💯🤙🏽
