The Storyteller’s Diary

I’ve been filming a lot lately, and seeing how my own life experiences come to play when I interact with other subjects. Being a bit from the outside of Nigeria, I’ll always be drawn to the water, so each time I see the boys play ball by the beach, I always wonder, what a joy it must be, and in that moment I’m reminded of a certain aspect of boyhood I didn’t have, because my father never let me play.
