Together, Apart has been finished up for almost a couple of weeks but i'm just now getting around to sharing some more images from the show 💀
"No Man is an Island" is an installation made from sawdust, wood chips, and weathered alpine wood, designed to transform over the course of the exhibition. Over the month of June, the rush of air from the gallery door opening and the movements of passing viewers slowly shifted the distinct shape of the silhouette.
Named after John Donne’s poem, the installation's wood dust evokes shifting sand. The gradual erosion of the human silhouette serves as a reminder of our own impermanence and eventual return to the earth.
Special thanks to Esther & Marius at Tynset AIR (@rambu_tynset) and the sawmill in Tylldalen for generously gifting me with a big ol bag of sawdust 🪵

I thought of you today. The latest issue of the New Yorker magazine has a really great article on Ana Mendieta. And was thinking of your work so much in relation to hers.
