Coming soon: a standalone artist's studio in Frogtown, the light industrial pocket of Elysian Valley wedged between the LA River and the hills of Elysian Park. The listing says walkable to Frogtown's best amenities; the county map says it plainer, this is Frogtown proper, a one-story light manufacturing building from 1987 on a parcel assembled from four lots. Inside, an open main floor runs under high wood ceilings and skylights, four flexible offices split between the ground floor and a mezzanine, grade-level loading through a roll-up door, and a gated yard that parks about eight cars, no small thing on these blocks.
The neighborhood took its name from the western toads that once swarmed up from the river, and buildings like this one are why artists have been settling here since the mid-1980s. Zoned for makers, a short walk from the river path.
