My first official Hyrox and Memory and I earned a second place overall finish! I feel really good about this since I haven't run since Murph in May due to my patella tendonitis (except a 2-mile run for Monster Games). It was amazing to be compete again with my incredibly fit friend and partner
@meltjes ! She pushed me hard, and I couldn't be more thankful for someone who makes me want to be better and try as hard I can because I know she's trying just as hard.
I'm also incredibly amazed by my two oldest boys who competed for the first time, let alone the MEN's doubles and earning an overall third place finish. These kids are amazing runners and their endurance is incredible. Couldn't be proud of my boys.
One of the reasons I continue to compete and try my best in everything I do is for my kids--to show them I still show up without complaint, without excuse, and to show them that they can do anything they put their minds to despite how busy life may be. It takes hard work, discipline, and consistency--something they know well--and God will direct their path as He sees fits for them.
Always do for the glory of God and no one else. Be thankful for what your body can do, and have fun!
