Today is Anthony Gay's birthday, and we in the National Alliance are holding his memory close as we continue to build on the struggles he waged in life.
In 2024, we founded the Anthony Gay Task Force on Prison Conditions where we coordinate work across our chapters and affiliates related to the conditions in U.S. prisons and jails, which are among the most repressive, violent, and deadly in the world.
From Philadelphia to Atlanta to the Lowcountry, our chapters are waging battles against medical neglect, wrongful death, torture, and all violations of the rights of the incarcerated.
