I was so excited when I realised I’d be able to use a chapter out of a book I wrote for a ‘woo its my birthday’ post. I was kind of hoping I’d get a cutesy quote or a funny quote, but alas I got this 😂

Much like life, sometimes things don’t turn out the way I want them to. Which is…apt. I think this first line describes my walk from 32 to 33 pretty well.

Forward steps aren’t always pleasant. They can be painful, unnerving, terrifying even. While I wouldn’t recommend carrying on for the sake of it — reflection and reorienting your path are highly valuable skills — just because things are difficult doesn’t mean things are wrong.

That’s where I’ve found myself these past few months. Life has been difficult, but not wrong. Frustrating and painful, but worth fighting for.

I don’t know what 33 will bring, but so long as my endurance grows stronger and my relationship with God deeper, I think it’ll end up all right.
