A Céilí is for everyone 💚 Join us as we team up with brilliant live band Saltcutters for a joyful fundraiser Céilí at St Bride’s Church in Liverpool.
For us, this evening is about much more than learning the steps. In the old spirit of the word Céilí (neighbour, visit, gathering), it’s a chance to come together, dance, share food and celebrate the things that connect us.
Expect dances and tunes from Ireland, England, Scotland and beyond, alongside stories of how music and dance travel, adapt and change as people and cultures meet.
Never danced a Céilí? No problem. No experience or partner needed, and everyone is welcome to dance whichever role feels right for them. Our calling is gender-free too, so you might hear “larks and robins” or “ones and twos” rather than “ladies and gents”.
