Last week we had dinner in the woods, and it was one of the most magical experiences we’ve had to date.

This is a beautifully curated dinner by @melwinebrown at @browningbros & @teybrookfarm. We wandered the 20 acres of woodland and had the most delicious flambéed garlic prawns before finding our seat in the fairytale-like setting.

With wood-fire at the heart of it all, we got cosy with a glass of wine, and as fire normally does… it made us open up. Within a couple of hours, we went from being seated next to complete strangers to feeling like we connected and shared stories with people we would never have met if it wasn’t for this experience.

And then there was the whopping 5-course dinner (6 if we count the amazing Mini Hokey Pokey Bombe Alaska)… all of it surrounded by trees, with soft music playing in the background, before we eventually moved over to the bar and were rewarded with live folk music.

We finished off our drinks while listening to the music and slowly got ready to join the real world… it did feel like we were in our little bubble and disconnected from it all for a few hours.
