an hour agoI used to post my training, nutrition, & genuinely helpful fitness tips from my 23 years experience. It didn’t get much traction because I wasn’t wearing booty shorts & sports bras & recording my assets every video. It was disheartening so I stopped.
2 hours agoThe reason why I don’t follow the women’s divisions is because in general the mens division is more exciting since they offer more various divisions that are easy to understand, open is about mass and conditioning, classic physique is about aesthetics, proportions, and symmetry, mens physique is about that beach body look, the women’s divisions all do the same thing with 2 quarters turns and a back shot pose and all the divisions do it but it’s like why make so many divisions do the exact same thing, the only exceptions to this is women’s bodybuilding and women’s physique, so it’s 1 pretty boring and 2 can be annoying to understand what the judges are even judging and why they judge it in the way they present the women on stage, that’s just my opinion though.
2 hours agoI think we need to start holding coaches accountable too. Some of these off season protocols across the board are FAWKIN insane
2 hours ago@dr.meg_scoobyhealth looked phenomenal at the O and is speaking the truth
2 hours agoTruth is, most of those fitness creators would probably lose over half their views and followers, at least for a while, without the “sexy” content…and they’d have to be okay with that. I’d be interested to see what the data actually says, but I’m willing to bet that a significant portion of the audience consuming female fitness content is men who have little interest in the actual work it takes to achieve those physiques. It would be a pretty difficult target audience reset, but in the long run, probably a healthier and more sustainable direction for female fitness creators who want to build something meaningful beyond just engagement.
3 hours agoThe selfies are boring and are not educating or entertaining at all. Can’t stand people who are this ego-inflated and think it’s the only way. Speak more, show your training, exercise tutorials, so many things everyone could be doing
4 hours agoWomen wouldn’t have to lean into the sex work side of things if womens bodybuilding would actually provide an income for them… men discredit every woman who posts trying to be informative. It’s not worth the hatred, harassment, and lack of payment…
4 hours agoBecause women get torn to shreds with mean comments. We're either too fat or too muscular or too skinny and the comments are brutal. From world known top athletes down to every day women trying to become healthier. I hit all the buttons on bodybuilders and fitness women who educate and share the behind the scenes! I can understand why some don't post more though.
4 hours agoNooo even here in Florida it’s still 30 guys to one girl roughly - gyms are still all male basically
4 hours agoThank you! I’m glad this is getting around! The physique is the result and it should be celebrated, 100%! But the training is what built it. There’s nothing wrong with sharing flexing selfies, posing, etc. But I personally commend the women who share the WORK behind it. It educates other women, it shifts the from just external appearance to performance, it inspires a different kind of respect from males and females (in and out of the industry), and honestly it just gives your platform more substance outside of just posting throwbacks to the “prep files” of you shredded. 👏🏼🫱🏻🫲🏼
4 hours agoMegan is a great ambassador for the sport. One of the most talented athletes period, too, among men and women combined.
