One thing about us at Alchemy, we love ourselves a Wheel Gun Wednesday.
Our “new” Black Army 1911 paired up with a Colt’s M1917 that was cut down into a quasi-Fitz sometime after it was retired from military service.
John Henry Fitzgerald, the creator of the Fitz Revolver concept, was not unfamiliar with the 1911. Traveling to National Match events in the interwar period, “Fitz” could often be found under the blue Colt tent tweaking away on the big Army Automatic. Some of this methods of accurizing 1911s for match work would find their way into 1911-smithing later on in the gun’s history.
The ACW Black Army looks right at home next to that “inspired” Fitz Special.. and that’s just what we were going for.

The Black Army is the hottest 1911 on the market. There is no competition 🔥 the lack of frame relief cuts make a huge difference
