I wanted to share some behind the scenes and intimate photos from a project that feels especially rewarding to see come to life.

We visited the new Day Surgery Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where we created the artwork-led interiors with CW+ and Hunters as well as our interior installation partners, kwickscreen.

From developing the botanical artwork and colour ways to seeing the designs installed throughout the unit, it’s been such a special project to be a part of. Bringing creativity to a space where it has such a powerful impact was an honour, and only reinforced how important art is in spaces you may not think at first.

I particularly love seeing the detail up close, the layered privacy screens, way finding and leafy canopy ceiling panels, and, most importantly, seeing how those individual elements come together in the finished space.

There’s something very special about visiting a project in person once it’s complete. You get to experience the work in the way it was intended, rather than just seeing it on a screen, and see how much of a difference thoughtful design can make to a space and the people using it. Experiencing the unit first hand showed me how immersive it is, I was able to imagine the positive impact it’ll have on patients and family members which felt so meaningful and up-lifting.

I recently visited Paris to see the joyful work of one of my all-time favourites, the marvellous Alexander Calder @alexandercalder_ , currently being exhibited at the incredible Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton. A double whammy of joy.

It is the most cohesive, full, expansive and brilliant Calder exhibition I have ever seen. From the magnificent circus film to the mobiles, sculptures and paintings, each piece brought its own beautiful sense of wit, movement and wonder.

His jewellery, often made for his wife’s birthdays and celebrations, completely captured my heart. A true romantic.

For me, it also brought back wonderful memories of Mikey, my late husband and Peagreen partner, who, like Calder, could turn everyday objects into extraordinarily beautiful things.

The exhibition is open at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, @lvmh Paris until August 16th. by @pea_lady

Our Story:

When Izzy lost her mum and Lisa her mother-in-law, they both found themselves facing the same quiet realisation.

The coffin choices available felt impersonal, formal, and far removed from the people they were remembering. They wanted something with more colour, more warmth, and more connection to the life being celebrated.

The Last Dance is Peagreen’s response: a collection of colourful, design-led biodegradable coffins created as a more personal alternative to the traditional. by @pea_lady

If you’re a student looking for a creative space to get some industry experience in the design sector, Peagreen could be perfect for you!

From trade fairs and networking events to exhibitions and design shows, you’ll be able to experience what it’s like working in design in the studio and on trips!

For the more hands on students in the studio, there are great opportunities to learn pattern and print design, hand drawn graphics skills, painting techniques and mixed media processes.

If you’re more into promotion and marketing, we look for photographers, filmmakers, social media marketers, promotional content creators and branding assistants.

This opportunity is exclusive to students interested in doing a work placement year as part of their creative degree.
