We Who Belong has come to an end and I’m still processing how incredible this whole journey has been! 🥹

This project documents four distinct communities in Ghana, their resilience and their fortitude. Seeing it come together as a full exhibition, in a room full of people who felt it too, was something else.

Prints can be found via the link in my bio. 20% of all sales will be going to charity 🙏🏾

Having my first solo exhibition in Fitzrovia, London is a major achievement, and none of it would have happened without some incredible people.

Thank you to @sota_marketplace and @emma_lang_art for curating and presenting this body of work and for fulfilling the vision.

Thank you to @nohostudios_ for the beautiful space that held it all.

Thank you to @the_futureplate for the catering.

Thank you to @sterlingartconsultants for the amazing work on the framing and hanging.

A huge thank you to @khalid3bdalla @timflachphotography and @keithafadi for their lovely testimonies on the work.

Thank you to @lucky_krisis for her continued support throughout the entirety of project.

Thank you to my brother @carltimehin for the beautiful graphic design work throughout the digital assets and space.

And most of all, thank you to the communities I photographed, for trusting me with your stories, and to everyone who came, supported and purchased prints.

This has been one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever made. Thank you for being part of it! ♥️

Five years ago! 🤯

The question is, have we progressed or regressed as a society since then. I think we all know the answer...

💥 EXHIBITION BTS 2/4 💥

We Who Belong might be over, but for those who couldn’t make it down to Fitzrovia, I wanted to bring you inside.

This is Jamestown, Accra, Ghana. For this series, I wanted to strip away the surroundings by setting up a mobile studio in the middle of Jamestown, so I could really let the people’s personalities shine.

Again, thank you to @sota_marketplace for curating and presenting this body of work.

Thank you to the residents of Jametown for welcoming me and the team! ♥️ taken in Accra, Ghana by @rontimehin

The Labadi Community by Ron Timehin

⭐ Ron Timehin is an award-winning photographer from London, with heritage from Sierra Leone and Nigeria. He specialises in documentary-style storytelling that emphasises human experiences.

His series The Labadi Community was shortlisted in the Portraiture category of the Professional (now Series) competition in the Sony World Photography Awards 2026.

📸
Labadi (La), sits on Accra’s coast in Ghana, on the Gulf of Guinea. The Ga community is shaped by canoe fishing and fish processing as the capital grows around it. For this series, the photographer worked with local residents to make portraits on the landing beach and in improvised studios, where boats, nets, a horse and flags became shared symbols. The images move between constructed tableaux and quiet observation: boys at play, workers at rest, friends holding space for one another. In doing so, they invite the viewer to meet the Labadi community through dignity, intimacy and self-possession.

Timehin's first ever solo exhibition, featuring this series alongside other projects, is open in London at @nohostudios_ until 21 June. Don't miss it!

EDITING BREAKDOWN 💥

This image is from We Who Belong, my upcoming solo exhibition presented by @sota_marketplace and exclusively sponsored by @adobeuk.

The carousel breaks down my full edit. I work between Lightroom and Photoshop: Lightroom builds the tonal and colour foundation and is where most of the masking work happens, then Photoshop comes in for the finer details, removing distractions and adding the last bit of finesse to get the image exactly where I want it.

I hope you find this useful and let me know what you think in the comments!

We Who Belong, 18 to 21 June NOHO Studios, 67 Great Titchfield St, London.

Prints will be on sale, with a percentage of all sales going back to the communities photographed. DM for more info!

Incredibly proud to share that my work has been shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards — and that my images will be on display at Somerset House from 17 April until 4 May 2026. 🎉

The series centres on Labadi (La), a Ga community on Accra’s coast. Working with the residents of Kaklamadu, I made portraits on the landing beach and in improvised studios. Boats, nets, a horse, flags becoming shared symbols between us.

The work moves between staged tableaux and quiet observation: boys playing, workers at rest, friends leaning on each other. It’s an invitation to connect with this community on their own terms, with dignity, intimacy, and self-assurance at the centre.

Thank you to everyone at @myrunwaygroup for producing this project, and most of all to the residents of Kaklamadu, whose generosity and openness made it everything it is.

Work like this is exactly why I do what I do.

I was commissioned to photograph the campaign for Millwall and @millwallromans Football Club’s Pride Playbook, a first-of-its-kind guide designed to help football clubs across the country build genuine partnerships with LGBTQ+ inclusive teams. Not just during Pride Month, but all year round.

What struck me most was the sincerity behind it. Millwall Romans and Millwall FC aren’t just talking about inclusion, they’re sharing everything they’ve learned and handing other clubs a real blueprint to follow.

Seeing the response since launch has been genuinely moving. The reaction from fans, media and the wider football community is a reminder that there is a real appetite for this kind of progress.

Impactful work like this is what fuels my passion for photography. Being trusted to tell these stories is something I don’t take lightly.

Thank you to everyone at @helloromans and @paddywilliams for bringing me in and making the whole experience such a pleasure. A huge thank you to @obtikare for the lighting and assist! 🤝🏾

It was my honour to be photographed by the magnificent @rontimehin. These are just some of the images from what was a very special afternoon in which I felt witnessed at this moment with an intimacy I find so rare, and a gift that only the best photographers can give.

Thank you @rontimehin and thank you @afshaartistry for the way in which you held our day together. Thank you both for your art and thank you for your hearts.

Thank you as always @thesoulstylist__ for styling, and the journey of embodiment we’re on.
