NYC climate week! I’d love to see you. This is a topic very near and dear to my heart. We will discuss what’s happening on the legal fight for the endangered species act (with @earthjustice @benlevitan), the rights of nature (with @moth_rights ), how storytelling, art, and culture change go hand in hand with policy (with @roxizendegi from @designsciencestudio ) AND what I did and learned entering the movement to stop commercial whaling in Iceland. Now more than ever, we must come together to amplify each other’s work. It’ll be part discussion, part strategy session, and part experience—OFC I’ll be playing the bioacoustics 🐋 Please share! And in a sweet turn of events, we are opening up 10 seats for César’s law students- if you have the financial means to cover their tickets, please consider doing so as we’d like the community to come together to make it accessible for them. Seeing this project get installed was so incredibly rewarding and wonderful. This was an easy idea to conceptualize and a challenging one to engineer and execute. And yet… everything came out flawlessly. I am very proud of all of us!
“Wings of Change” is a permanent installation at @northpointdev in Kansas City.
I have been working on it for a looong time (2.5- 3 years)
Inspired in transformation, the cycles of life, flight and growth, reflecting many important stages I lived through in this time.
So grateful for this opportunity to dream and create. Grateful for everyone who added to the vision.

This past year it has been such a delight to be collaborating with @claudiabuenoart - a series of dream come true moments, in art and life. And watching this spiral of 84 steel feathers come together is at the top of the list.

Deeply grateful for @roxizendegi and @habritual for opening these doors, and coordinating the project. To @bentimby, April Pugh @ingrainstudio, and Emily Loubser for being such a fabulous team on the ground!

And to Nathaniel Hagedorn, and the whole amazing team at @northpointdev for the vision, trust and tremendous support in bringing all the pieces to life.

Stay tuned for the completed piece. by @roxizendegi

Full Solar Eclipse tomorrow 🐋 Visionaries gather from around the world under the moons shadow at the @icelandeclipse festival. The @designsciencestudio is honored to join this gathering at this important moment in history- when remembering our place in the cosmos helps us all to ground into what a miracle life on this planet is. For a few minutes day turns to night and we feel how connected we all are.

DSS Ecosystem Director,’Co-founder and ARTchitect, Roxi Shohadaee @roxizendegi alongside other DSS team will be gathered in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula for Iceland Eclipse (August 11-15, 2026). We are grateful to have been invited as partner guests of the festival, alongside their pre-festival incubator, the portal, for artists and scientists incubating works for the event. Beginning today- this five-day gathering blends science, music, art, wellness, and exploration around one of nature’s most extraordinary events.

We will be supporting of our team and DSS Evolutionary Alumni Eva Frye @iamevafrye of @climateshifted who is leading a Campaign: Awe for Whales before Icelandic Whaling Bill Vote 🐋 Shifting Icelandic sentiment on whaling through awe — before the autumn bill — TOWARDS anti-whaling, stopping fin whale hunting. Catch us sharing this Humpback Whale Bioacoustic immersive sound piece as a part of the campaign to protect the whales 💙

Beyond witnessing totality, this event is an opportunity to slow down, meet remarkable people from around the world, and experience Iceland’s landscapes through talks, workshops, performances and adventures designed to spark curiosity and connection.

We are also so excited to see so many from the @designsciencestudio family offering at the eclipse festival including @_tonycho_ @amandasageart @rubychase @snowravenofficial @angeladelsol @iamandagregory and so many more 🤲🏽🫂💙

We hope to see you under the moons shadow (r)Evolutionaries 🤲🏽

The @designsciencestudio Interdependence Summit in Hopland, CA was so inspiring, encouraging and nurturing❤️‍🔥
I’m grateful to have been able to participate, contribute and connect with so many incredible visionary humans at the original Solar Living Institute land as we share visions and practical templates for a more regenerative future💫

Thank you to @roxizendegi and the whole crew for making this possible 🫶🐋🪶🌸🌈

I see the vision coming more and more into form as I see the network of design science systems constellating & connecting - the time is nigh for each to step up to what we came here to do💫

📣 July 3-5! IRL Interdependence Summit in Hopland, CA (90mins north of SF). The Design Science Studio docks the floating city of regen•era for celebratory, in-person experience

For three days, the village of regen·era roots itself in Hopland, California among weeping willows and a swimmable pond at Gateway Mendocino.

Instead of celebrating a “traditional Independence Day,” ticket holders will enjoy a special, in person experience weaving interdependence, regenerative culture and civic imagination through immersive camping, shared regenerative meals and participatory village life.

This inaugural Interdependence Summit is set within a thriving ecological remediation site powered by solar energy and surrounded by natural buildings, the landscape itself becomes part of the invitation to imagine and embody more regenerative ways of living together.

The “Interdependence Summit” is a pARTicipatory playground for flourishing futures.

It is a confluence of immersive experiences, celebrations, salons, workshops, art, speakeasies and surprises — each exploring the collaborative ways design, science and story collide in service of futures that work for ALL of life. 🔎🌎🌈

Join the (r)Evolution. Bring your curiosity, your practices, your offerings and your imagination as we reconnect ourselves, our communities and our futures to each other, to the living world and to Spaceship Earth.
