Polestar Pilates exam results are finally out… 🥹🤍

I’ve had my fair share of exam trauma over the years. I’ve never really been someone who’s naturally good at taking tests. In fact, one of my biggest heartbreaks was not passing the entrance exams for the “top” universities in Manila back then. 😆

So when it was time to take my Polestar certification exams, every part of me wanted to back out. I questioned myself more times than I can count. But I’m so glad I didn’t.

This reminded me that growth isn’t about never being afraid—it’s about showing up anyway.

A huge thank you to my mentors, Sam @samantha_jrobinsonhk, Alex, Eve, Kenny, Vesta @vesta_ko, and Leo, for sharing your knowledge, challenging me, and helping me understand movement on a much deeper level. And @tkranola, for taking a chance on me and helping me through too 🙏🏻💚

Here’s to always being a student, always staying curious, and continuing to help people move better. Here’s to continuing to raise the standard of Pilates education and movement. Here’s to the growing community of @polestar_pilates_asia. I’m so proud to be part of it ✨

Best believe Pilates and running make a great pair! 🏃‍♂️

From improving running efficiency to building strength, control, and injury resilience, Pilates can help you feel stronger with every stride.

I’ve been slowly finding my way back to running, with that dream marathon still in mind! Whether you’re just starting out or have been running for a while, don’t forget that the work you do off the road counts, too.

Here’s to more miles, stronger strides, and a little Pilates along the way! -Shannen

Single-leg stability and foot and ankle control: maintaining control when only one foot is on the ground and training calf strength and controlled foot loading.

#running #runningcommunity

Pelvic and core control: helping maintain trunk and pelvic stability while the legs and lower limbs move such as the Knee Stretches on the reformer.

Posterior-chain strength: strengthening the glutes and developing controlled hip extensions like some Hip Extensions on the Cadillac.

#runningmotivation

Hip Mobility + Core and Pelvic Control: the Hanging and Cadillac Hanging Flows challenges rotational mobility and stability, developing body awareness and control outside the upright position.

There’s a LOT of work behind those wings. 🪽 Before we introduce Cadillac flows, we build the strength, control, balance, and body awareness our clients need to move safely and confidently.

We don’t rush the process. We train the foundations first, then progress when our clients are ready.

Because the goal isn’t just to get into a shape. It’s to own the movement. ✨
