EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR PLAYERS!

We’re really excited to share that on Wednesday 11th November, we’ll be welcoming Neil Lattemore, First Team Strength & Conditioning Coach at Peterborough United, to work with our players!

Neil will be coming in to deliver a special session with all of our players, giving them the opportunity to experience the type of strength, conditioning and physical preparation used within a professional football environment.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for the players to learn from someone working day-to-day in the professional game, and we’re really pleased to be able to offer experiences like this to our community.

We’re looking forward to a brilliant session hopefully one the players will get a lot from and really enjoy!

Great run out with @activeperformanceuk , Not quite the sub 60 this time round but we will take it 🤝🏼

Couple days to chill and enjoy the city, which will be followed by a few weeks of lifting weights and less cardio!

A little throwback to part of the promo from one very special collab that took place at the lovely @rutlandwatermill at the back of last year with @activeperformancekc

For those who attended on the day, this was serious fun and a great reminder of how destination venues can collaborate with other businesses to diversify their offering to create buzz and connect with a completely fresh demographic. 💪🏽

This one grinds my gears…
.
“I’m really sore today because I didn’t stretch after my session yesterday” 😫
.
Research shows that stretching doesn’t reduce muscle soreness!
.
Soreness comes from micro tears and inflammation, some research shows that stretching can actually increase micro tears therefore increasing soreness!
.
Stretching and mobility should be a standalone session to improve movement quality not to ‘reduce soreness’
.
5 mins of stretching at the end of your session is not going to make much difference to soreness or mobility!
.

Midnight Mum Marathon ✨🌙

January 17th
I’m inviting gyms, run clubs, mum communities to run/walk together for an hour slot between 8am-8pm with the aim of accumulating as many KMs together as possible.

Then between 8pm-8am I’ll be running 5km every hour on the hour throughout the night.

The aim is to raise as much awareness and support for Maternal mental health and charities that help offer support when you need it the most.

There is a link in my bio to donate.
I’ll be allocating time slots this week if you want to get involved 🫶🙌

HYROX Open doubles PB 🚨

March — Málaga: 1:04:40
December — London: 59:02

Myself and @activeperformanceuk set a goal and made it happen.

We agreed that if we were going to take on HYROX Open Doubles again, it had to be sub-60. We built a plan, stuck to it, and even with a few hiccups on the day (including an extra length of sled pull 🙄) we still got it done and there’s definitely another minute or two to shave off!

I’m by no means a HYROX athlete or expert, but I love the challenge. One more race in Poland, then it’s time to relax for Christmas 💪🏼 🎄

Big thanks to Neal from @activeperformanceuk for an awesome nutrition workshop! 🙌

He broke down what a student athlete should be eating, how to fuel up before training and matches, and the best foods for recovery after.

We’re grateful to have an expert like Neal share his knowledge with the club — hopefully the boys put it into action!

Thanks again, Neal! 💪🥗

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Winter Fitness Fest in collaboration with @activeperformanceuk 🏋🏻‍♀️

The morning brought together a mix of energy, teamwork and community spirit. 💪 🧡 From the first rep to the last, the effort and encouragement between the pairs and crowds really summed up what these events are all about - showing up, giving it everything and enjoying the challenge together.

The atmosphere was brilliant throughout, and we cannot wait until the next one. ✨
