How do you bring four completely different brands into one space each with its own identity, branding guidelines, colors, audience, and shopping behavior while still making the whole experience feel visually connected and cohesive?

That was exactly the challenge behind our latest experiential design project this summer for @mothernakedskin @be__indie @love.kinsuki @matterbrews

We approached the space as a department-store concept, bringing four very different brands together under one roof while making sure each one could still stand out through its own colors, design language, identity, and shopping experience.

The challenge went beyond branding. The four brands came from completely different fields — fashion, cosmetics, tableware, and F&B which meant that each one had a different target audience, a different customer journey, and a different human behavior inside the space.

Our goal was to create a highly functional store where every brand feels almost like it has its own space, with its own character and experience, while still being part of one visually connected environment.

This is what we created this summer at @playanorthcoast : four different identities, four different experiences, all blended into one cohesive space.
