POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We had a blast at @groundgallery for GZF4 yesterday ‼️

We took a screen loaded with one of French educator Fernand Deligny’s ‘Wander Lines’, drawings which reveal patterns of non-logic communication, and attempted to use them as maps to connect ideas, sketches, notes, and findings.

Here are some nice pics from the day + scans of our un-finished wander maps!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to use the screen, dig into the zines we brought along, and sat down to impromptu study! 📚 An especially big thank you to @albert_longface for hosting and supporting us on the day!

🌬️ PREMIERE: ON THE WIND ARE ALL OUR VOICES

Tomorrow at 3PM, RTM.FM presents the premiere of On the Wind Are All Our Voices, a new work by Alex Stubbs @alexanderstubbss

A sonic wormhole filled with the clatter of workshop chaos.

Originally created through a series of workshops culminating in pirate radio broadcasts using micro-FM transmitters, these recordings are collected together as a series for the first time.

Harmonic and emotional differences reflect the distinct voices, experiments and acts of play spilling out from the speakers.

📻 PREMIERE ON RTM.FM
🗓️ Sunday 4 October
⏰ 3PM

Full joy full communal @eprjcts exhibition making in @xordinarypeople Summer Camp with my fixed up mobile wall panels: People Get Fixed providing some deluxe support for artworks as floating plinth and freestanding wall. It’s a handsome show this year and only on till Saturday. Get along and revel in the guided chaos of it all. X

On Saturday 5th September 2026, Ground will be screening We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher. The film will be paused and ideas picked apart - allowing the film to be a discussion. This will be guided by Alex and Tom.

The doors will open 6:30pm - film starts at 7pm.

The event is free entry with donations welcomed.

About the film:-

‘Sophie Mellor and Simon Poulter, working as Close and Remote ( @closeandremote ), developed the film between 2024-2025. Through Instagram ( @markfisherfilm ), they enlisted the support of 70 collaborators. The film was made with no budget, no studio backing and no institutional permissions.

The film explores solidarity, shared labour and digital connectivity. It enacts what Fisher insisted was still possible – decapitalised cultural production, collective agency among the ruins of neoliberal atomisation. A reminder that DIY doesn’t mean private – it means working together.’

Goodbye @eprjcts EOP Studio!
Time to say good bye to this epic place, the last couple of weeks have been so awesome.
Thank you @xordinarypeople I am so grateful. I’ve gained immeasurably in the short time here. Moving forward with fresh perspective, clearer purpose, and new friendships I will keep foreverrrrr.

It is with heavy hearts and even heavier eye lids that we wrap up the months of propulsive, feverish, spectacular production that has occurred in the first iteration of EOP studio. ❤️ ⋆ 𖤓 ⋆˚࿔

But, there is more to come of it so keep you're eyes peeled...

Some recent-ish workshops as a participant.
+
The most valuable thing about leading a workshop is knowing what it’s like to be a participant in a workshop. So here are some recents we’ve joined in with, enjoyed, and learned from.
++
Slides 1-8 - In Sequence by @karimskalliphoto for @overthebridge.photo hosted @artlinkhull
Investigating photos and the nature of photobooks to work out the way images hold together. This was demonstrated through pairings and dialogues. Beautifully and brutally broken down by Karim - a pleasure to use the photos of others to become the overseers and arrangers of the publication.
+++
Slides 9-10 - The Ethics Of Working With People with Kerry Morrison for @newbridgeproject participating online.
Helpfully pointing out the differences between morals, values, and ethics. Persuading us towards a project by project approach to ethical frameworks. So valuable to by pointed to The Common Cause Handbook.
++++
Slides 11-15 - I Will Meet You Here by @alexanderstubbss and @_wesfoster_ for @2021visualarts
A walk in Scunthorpe through varying urban settings. Conversations and evaluations that allowed us (The Aimless Archive) to land on an unsolicited, hare-brained proposal for Scunthorpe to annually rotate the civic and cultural amenities of the town. The leisure centre becomes the art gallery - the library becomes the theatre - and then the rotation continues. Each move leading to a reassessment of the value of such (public) spaces and (public) surroundings.

𝟭𝟴/𝟬𝟱/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 - 𝗢𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 new work by Anna Farley, on display until Wednesday 30 September.

For CONTAINER WORKS @the.anna.log is presenting a growing collection of Wellbeing Drawings which will change over time. As Anna’s regular practice of drawing evolves and new drawings are made, the display in the wall vitrine will change, reflecting the pliable and bending nature of Anna’s work.

Wellbeing Drawings are: Carried; Portable; Crayola; Unpredictable; Autonomy.

The drawings happen when Anna is stuck, overloaded with too many thoughts, tasks, or choices. Putting pencil to paper and scratching in colour channels all of the energy – be it anxiety or confusion or excitement – into a visual map.

Anna’s support and care workers make sure she has these drawings with her, or that there is plain paper and colouring pencils available. People see different things in each drawing, a little bit like cloud watching.

Anna’s Wellbeing Drawings always start with a membrane around the shape. By colouring inside the lines, Anna creates an anatomy of unintentional, organic references to form.

Join us on Sunday 19 July 10am - 12pm for Drawing Group, when Anna will lead us through the drawing exercises she uses in her practice. 🖍️
