🪱Worms, I have good news for you and even better news for me! I finally made it through editing my Wormtown photos. All you have to do to see the full galleries is send me an email to…Jmsartandphoto@gmail.com

⏰If you’ve already emailed me you are on the list. Please be patient with me as I still need to set-up a landing page with all the galleries. Once I have that all lined up I will send to everyone!

💻I started with 7,904 photos and I got it down to 2,697. I kind of got lost keeping track of hours, but my educated guess is that it took around 80 hours. When you count importing, culling, editing, exporting and organizing files. For me the hardest part is just narrowing down the photos. I definitely over shoot, but you kind of have to when you are trying to capture emotion and good light at the same time. In a festival setting that can be challenging!

😊 Very special thank you for all the bands that trusted me with documenting your set. I am forever grateful for your support of my art!

🚌 So what’s next? We should have the bus back from the shop today. Then we are packing it up and heading to SC hopefully later tonight or super early tomorrow morning. We’ll visit Canaan’s family and then I’ll be headed to my artist residency at Congaree National Park for all of November & December. I’ll be posting all about it on my art page, @welcometomysmell follow me over there!

🌿We’ll head back North in May for Trail Days in Damascus, VA and then we’ll hop on a plane to Alaska for Chickenstock again! There may be time for shoots at the end of May and then I’ll be open for business again when we get back from Alaska in July.

Last night I Jersey Maxxed because I had the honor of covering the @teachrockorg gala where teachers were the (rightful) stars of the night.

TeachRock is a free, music-driven educational initiative created by the Rock and Roll Forever Foundation, which was founded by legendary musician, actor, and activist @stevievanzandt . The program aims to keep the arts alive in schools and combat high school dropout rates by providing standards-aligned, interdisciplinary curricula that use popular music history to teach core subjects like Social Studies, ELA, and STEAM.

Here’s a sneak preview of the night & all the interviews I’ll be posting throughout the week! Comment who you see here 👀 🎸 🙌🏼📚 🔥

🦆Max Creek, the weirdest people I’ve ever met have been at Creek shows and that’s my favorite part. Love all you Creekers!!

🎶I only get to see these people a few times a year, but it’s always good to know that there’s a higher chance of seeing them if I can make it to a Creek show. Yeah their a damn good band and they’ve been around forever, but the community they created is really something else. Although I might not be around much these days I’m always grateful to be welcomed back like time stood still.
