Another delayed post… I’m sorryyyy 🥺 Life has been lifing, my head has been a little stressedddd, showing up on here has to take a back seat. Even in the busy, overwhelming weeks, there are still so many little moments worth capturing. ✨ So here’s a little life lately

☀️ A little more September sunshine

Lighter evenings, warmer days, T-shirt and shorts weather, with the occasional rain shower to remind us autumn is well and truly on its way! 🍂☔️

🐾 Daily Toffee adventures
Lots of daily dog walks, some canal-side fun playing with crab apples 🍎🍏

👐🏼 Two adjustments at @rapha_room with @jacobparrychiro continuing to focus on myself and my body. ❤️‍🩹
Swipe to see my message 💬 after Tuesday’s adjustment ➡️🥹

⚽️ Friday evening catch-ups
I met a friend after school for a walk with her son and my Toffee dog, who was absolutely LIVING for all the fusses after football training! 🥰🐶

SUNDAY WAS ALL ABOUT THE RUNNING COMMUNITY!

I headed down to support @caerleonrunners at the @cardiffhalf and what a lovely day it was! 🫶🏼

Seeing everyone come together, cheer one another on and celebrate the efforts of every runner is a reminder of just how special this community really is. 🥹

But one of my BIGGEST proud moments of the day? Watching my mum take on the Cardiff Half! 🩷
I honestly cannot put into words how proud I am of her. To watch her out there, taking on such a huge challenge at her age, is just incredible. Seeing her put herself out there, challenge herself and achieve something so special makes me SO proud.

I also headed out for a walk with a friend after watching the Cardiff half before getting my mini me after a weekend without her 😭

CARDIFF HALF 2027 BALLOT 👀🏃🏼‍♀️
I still haven’t entered, and I’m not even sure if the ballot is still open! 🙈
Part of me wants to go for it, but another part of me is reluctant and a little scared.
I don’t just want to get to the start line.
I want to get there feeling READY physically AND mentally. ✨

I’m a Mummy, I’m a runner, I’m a daughter, I’m a friend, I’m a woman who needs to give herself some TLC

❌M̶e̶d̶a̶l̶ ̶M̶o̶n̶d̶a̶y̶ ❌

Ⓣⓐⓚⓔ ⓜⓔ ⓑⓐⓒⓚ Ⓣⓤⓔⓢⓓⓐⓨ    !⃝   !⃝

I’ve been debating whether to share this… but this is where my next chapter begins.

After the @cardiff10k something happened that I never expected.

I had a ⓟⓐⓝⓘⓒ ⓐⓣⓣⓐⓒⓚ 🥺😢

It was frightening. My heart was racing, I felt overwhelmed and genuinely didn’t know what was happening. An ambulance was called and I had the sensors put on my chest so they could check my heart.
All of this was done when I wasn’t aware what was happening.

Thankfully, I’m okay. 🤍

🫶🏼 A BIG SHOUT OUT and HUGEEE WELL DONEEE to my mini me for helping the paramedics when mummy was having a “fear attack” 🥺😢 mummy is sorry WR for this happening. I’m on the way recovery from this to make sure this never happens again. 🫶🏼

But it really shook me.

Running has always been such a huge part of who I am. It’s been my escape, my happy place, my challenge and a massive part of my identity.

And suddenly, I’ve found myself having to step back.

I’ve been told to take some time away from running while I focus on getting myself back to feeling like me again.

And honestly… that’s hard.

But maybe this journey isn’t about becoming the runner I was.

Maybe it’s about discovering who I am beyond running.

So I’m starting a new chapter…

Hugeee thank you to Ⓒⓞⓝⓝⓞⓡ and Ⓜⓐⓣⓣⓗⓔⓦ from Bargoed ambulance station the 2 paramedics who helped me but also helped my mini me to support her mummy in this situation. Making a paper aeroplane with her and a fan

Not only did I come away from the Cardiff 10K with a lush medal I also came away with 6 other ones to remind me why I’m taking this next chapter of my life a bit more steady

🟢 SUMMER CATCH-UP

A big podium finish and a stacked top 5 in the capital 👉

📍 Mid Cheshire 5km
Matthew Verran ran well in a stellar field, finishing 40th in 14:51.

📍 Cardiff 10km
Jonathan Butler produced a class run to step onto the podium in 2nd with 29:44 — a personal best.

Dewi Griffiths wasn't far behind in 5th with 30:00 — a really promising time given he's coming back from a spell out, and not a bad starting point to build from.

Matthew Verran backed up his midweek 5km with 21st in 31:13

Matthew Rees was 23rd in 31:28

Jack Hurley rounded out the top 5 with 28th in 31:58 — his first time breaking 32 minutes, also a PB.

In the women's race, Luticia Thomas led the Harriers home in 26th with 39:17

Podiums, PBs and strength in depth. 💚🤍

EPISODE 5 OF THE SERIES!

running every parkrun in Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

this time at Llanelli parkrun! 🌊 what a lovely route with some absolutely brilliant views along the way! definitely one of the more scenic parkruns I’ve done so far 👀

there are 3 hills to tackle, but honestly, they’re well worth it for the route and the views! a great parkrun and definitely one I’d recommend adding to the list.

and of course, no parkrun morning is complete without brunch afterwards! ☕️ headed to @hwyl.shire for some much-needed food, followed by homemade Welsh cakes which were absolutely delicious!

another one ticked off the list, and one step closer to running every parkrun in Wales!

which one should I do next??? 👀
