When @deniseaalba built @bravewellnessstudio from the ground up, she did it largely on her own. Winning an @entreprenista100 Award brought her a community.

Since her win, Denise has seen a meaningful shift in the visibility and growth of her business. She has more eyes on her work than ever before, and has had opportunities and conversations that she never thought possible.

Every founder deserves this kind of momentum.

Applications close tomorrow at 11:59 PM EST! Comment AWARDS, and we’ll send you the link to apply. ✨

I said follow along, then went quiet. 🇮🇹

Turns out leading a retreat means being in it, not filming it. Here’s a look at getting the villa ready and a week I’m still processing.

A huge thank you to the women-founded brands who filled our welcome bags: Mimi Truong @igzolted (Bullet Journal Method), Carin Parcel of @carinsusanndesigns (Carin Susann Designs), and Meena Puri of @ayurvedichealingcenter (Root Healing Method). And a special thank you to @liacardoso_skc of @theskinleaf.co (Skin Leaf Co.) for donating an entire box of skin care. You made every guest feel welcome before the retreat even began. 🤍

More to share soon.

After a season of honest conversations, we’re ending with the question we’ve been asked more than almost any other...

“So... why no babies?”

In this final episode of the season, we’re talking about the pressure, assumptions, grief, freedom, and everything in between that comes with choosing, or not choosing to have children.
Whether you’re child-free by choice, childless not by choice, still deciding, or simply tired of people asking deeply personal questions, this conversation is for you.

No judgment. No perfect answers. Just two therapists having the conversations people often avoid.

🎙️ Season Finale: The Question Everyone Asks: Why No Babies?

Listen now, and let us know your thoughts in the comments. We’d love to hear your perspective.

Dear BRAVE Community,

People often ask me why I created BRAVE.

The answer is simple: I wanted to build the kind of place I wished existed.

As a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s most beautiful and most difficult moments. Over the years, I realized that healing doesn’t only happen in a therapy office. It happens through movement. It happens through connection. It happens when people feel like they truly belong.

That’s why I created BRAVE Wellness Studio, to bring therapy, movement, and community together under one roof here in San Diego.

My hope has always been that when you walk through our doors, you feel safe enough to be yourself, supported enough to keep growing, and connected enough to know you’re never doing it alone.

Whether you’re joining us for yoga, therapy, a workshop, or your very first visit, I’m so grateful you’re here.

If you’d like to learn more about what makes BRAVE so special, visit the link in our bio. We’d love to welcome you into our community.

With gratitude,

Denise 🤍

🎙️ Season 2, Episode 5: The Hyper-Independent Perfectionist’s Club

Do you struggle to ask for help? Feel like you have to do everything yourself? Hold yourself to impossible standards?
In this episode, we unpack how hyper-independence and perfectionism are often learned survival strategies, not personality flaws. These patterns may have once protected you, but are they still serving you today?

✨ Listen in as we explore where these behaviors come from, how they show up in everyday life, and what healing can look like.

Season 2 is officially LIVE 🎙️✨

After 5 years… we’re back behind the mic, a little wiser, a lot more honest, and still keeping it real.

Episode 1: “Allow us to Reintroduce Ourselves”- who we are now, what’s changed, and why we felt called to return
Episode 2: “Nervous System Regulation”-because let’s be real, we could all use tools to feel a little more grounded

This season feels different (in the best way). Same unfiltered conversations, deeper growth, and the kind of perspective that only time + lived experience can bring.

Press play, pour a glass, and come catch up with us 🥂
